Nancy K. Brodzki, Esquire
Nancy K. Brodzki has been practicing law in South Florida since completing graduate school at the University of Miami in 1985. While she began practicing civil litigation and as a trial attorney with a subrogation law firm, she soon decided to focus efforts on family law. Ms. Brodzki was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia and attended Newcomb College of Tulane University in New Orleans where she majored in psychology and mastered the French language. She graduated in 1982 and moved on to earn her law degree in Miami three years later.
Since devoting her practice to family law, Ms. Brodzki has dedicated her practice to finding new and improved ways to help clients with the emotional stress that divorce and family litigation can cause. Having a background in psychology and using a therapeutic approach with her clients, she guides her clients toward settlement of their family law disputes rather than experiencing emotional and expensive litigation. Having undergone a divorce of her own, Ms. Brodzki is well aware of what her clients are going through.
She has served as a neutral mediator for couples who wish to settle their issues without hiring attorneys, and she has mediated cases where both parties had their own attorney. Ms. Brodzki is an enthusiastic proponent of collaborative law as a preferred model for divorcing couples. Ms. Brodzki is Vice President of the Collaborative Family Law Professionals of South Florida Inc., and is a member of the International Association of Collaborative Professionals, the Broward County Matrimonial Lawyers Association, the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar (where she is also on the Mediation and Collaborative Law Committee), the Broward County Women Lawyers Association and the Broward County Bar Association.
Ms. Brodzki is an active member of the community, previously serving as the Vice President of the Board of Directors of No More Tears, a non-profit organization which provides assistance to domestic violence victims. She was the President of Temple Beth Am in Margate from 2005-2007 and remains widely involved in the congregation. Ms. Brodzki is married with four children and two step children and lives in Coral Springs.
